WBCS Syllabus Prelims

Several locations in West Bengal’s districts host the WBPCS Prelims Exam. Only candidates from the Darjeeling district’s Scheduled Tribes and those from the three hill divisions of Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik, and Kurseong are permitted to choose Darjeeling as a centre.

There are eight subjects and topics on the WBCS Prelims Syllabus. 200 (MCQ) are present. Each subject receives 25 marks. The examination lasts about 2.5 hours.

The Prelims is simply a screening exam, and no final selection is made based on its results. The Prelims Exam examines the same level of knowledge as that of a graduate of any faculty from any recognised university, according to the commission’s notice.

WBCS Mains Exam Syllabus 2023

On the basis of their performance in the preliminary exam, candidates will be chosen for the WBCS Mains exam. Six required papers and one optional subject with two papers each will each be included in the Mains exam. There will be 200 marks assigned to each of these papers. Each paper will have a 3-hour time limit for candidates to finish.

WBCS 2023 Application Fee:

For all categories, the WBCS application costs are a non-refundable payment.

However, there is no application cost for the WBCS for WB State candidates who are SC/ST or who have a physical disability of 40% or more.

WBPSC has notified the WBCS age limit 2023 for the WB civil services examination for all the Group Services. The details of the WBCS age limit are given below.
