WBCS Officer In Hand Salary for All Posts
The in hand salary will be subjected to PF and Income Tax Deduction. After deduction, the salary of the WBCS Executive Officers will be around 5 to 8 thousand less than the In Hand Salary.

WBCS officers receive payments as allowances
Officers from distinct groups are each given a different set of allowances. The following common allowances are paid in addition to the base wage for all officers:
- D.A., or Dearness Allowance
- (M.A.) Medical Allowance
- HRA, or house rent allowance.
There are also certain allowances that are paid solely to certain officers. Extra Travel Allowance (TA) and Daily Allowance (DA) are given depending on the post grade when travelling for work.
Block Development Officer (BDO) compensation
The BDO position is the highest-paying Group A position selected through the West Bengal Public Service Commission’s WBCS examination. The Block Development Officer, or BDO, is responsible for the management of a Block that has been allotted to him or her. Because of this, WBCS Group A Officers are entitled to additional, specifically designated allowances.
According to the 7th Pay Commission, the base salary for a BDO is Rs 56,100. DA as of the present is 17%. WB Government HRA is 12%. Therefore, BDO’s gross salary at the time of joining will be between 70,000 and 75,000.

The WBCS 2023 Exam is administered in three stages: the Prelims, Mains, and Personality Test. The Preliminary round is a qualifying round. Only those applicants who pass the preliminary exam are permitted to continue on to the Mains exam stage. The Mains exam will be both objective and conventional type, with the Prelims exam being of the objective type. There will also be a failing grade. There is only one GS paper in the WBCS Prelims test, but it covers a wide range of topics. The Prelims test is given to applicants to assess their fundamental knowledge. WBCS 2023 Recruitment Procedure
WBCS 2023 Exam Selection Procedure: WBPSC administers the WBCS exam to select officers for a variety of positions.
