Due to the Reliance Founder-Chairman Shri Dhirubhai Ambani’s conviction that investing in the next generation is the greatest way to assure the prosperity of the country, Reliance has been awarding scholarships to deserving students for more than 25 years.
Through the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships and the Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships, respectively, the Reliance Foundation will provide financial assistance to up to 5,000 deserving undergraduate students from underprivileged backgrounds in 2022–2023 who are pursuing studies in any field of their choice.
Both Reliance Foundation Scholarships will endeavour to support and empower deserving students, and they will collaborate to create strong, active, and involved alumni networks, allowing scholars to pursue higher education, develop into young professionals, and contribute to India’s economic development.
Undergraduate Scholarships from the Reliance Foundation
The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships are designed to enable up to 5,000 deserving individuals to pursue their undergraduate college education without worry about money by supporting them based on a merit-plus-means standard. The Scholarships are designed to help students achieve their goals and become successful professionals, unlocking their potential to improve their communities and themselves and assisting in the socioeconomic advancement of India.
Students who are enrolled in their first year of undergraduate study in any subject stream and have household incomes under Rs. 15 lakh are eligible to apply. Additionally, the programme will work to promote applications from girls and kids with special needs.

Future leaders in India who can think broadly, sustainably, and digitally for the good of society are encouraged and supported by the Reliance Foundation PG Scholarships.
Through this Scholarship, Reliance Foundation will choose up to 100 students in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Sciences, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable and New Energy, Material Sciences and Engineering, and Life Sciences based on merit through an extensive selection process.
The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships will provide students with a sizeable scholarship and an all-encompassing development programme, including professional interactions, industry exposure, and volunteer activities, resulting in the creation of a cohort of excellence that innovates for social good each year.

Eligibility |
Students must be enrolled full-time in their first year of an undergraduate degree programme at an accredited Indian institution, in any stream. A minimum of 60% in class 12 is required for graduation. The annual household income should be less than INR 15,00,000 (students with families earning less than INR 2,50,000 would receive precedence). Only open to Indian citizens who live there. |

Only those students may apply for this scholarship who are enrolled in the first year of a full-time postgraduate degree programmes in one of the following streams: Computing Science Machine intelligence Computing and Mathematics either electrical or electronic Engineering Engineering, Chemical Automotive Engineering New and Renewable Energy Engineering & Material Sciences Health Sciences Must have obtained 500 to 1,000 points on the GATE test OR Must have a minimum undergraduate CGPA of 7.5 (or a percentage normalised to it) [If students have not taken the GATE]. Open to Indian citizens who reside there. |

- Up to Rs/INR 6 lakhs in total scholarships will be made available over the course of the degree programme.

For UG:
The candidate must be an Indian citizen who resides there.
- The applicant must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree course and have completed Standard 12th with at least a 60% grade point average. Within India
- Students are eligible for PG programmes if their household income is below Rs. 15 lakhs, with a preference for less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen who resides there.
- Graduate Fellowships: PG first year students who passed the GATE Examination with a score between 550 and 1,000.
- OR Students who have not taken the GATE exam but have an undergraduate CGPA of 7.5 or higher (or % normalised to CGPA) are eligible.

Yes, you must enrol in an eligible course at an approved institution when you submit your scholarship application.
Can I reapply for the scholarship if I’ve already benefited from the programme?
If you have already benefited from the scholarship programme, you may apply again.
Are NRI students eligible for the scholarship as well?
No, only Indian residents who are currently residing in India are eligible for this programme. Even if you choose an approved course at an appropriate institution, you cannot apply.
Is there a word count restriction on the essay?
Only 4000 characters are allowed in the essay.
